The yarn has a luster, is less likely to pill, and has a smooth, soft touch, giving it a luxurious feel.
I also love high-gauge Smedley knits, but I feel that mid-gauge knits are a step up in style.
It is in very clean condition with nothing to particularly note, but please understand that it is still a used item. There is some fluffing and pilling as shown in the photos, but I don't think it's anything to be concerned about. Please check the photos.
