The flat glass lens sheds water, and a silicone plug seals the opening where the 4-foot 18AWG premium tinned copper lead wire exits the fixture. The pre-greased Beryllium copper socket is more corrosion resistant than regular copper. The 1" threading and locknut provide mounting stability.
