Beautiful vintage sterling silver filigree butterfly brooch with a warm gold wash finish. The wings are crafted with intricate openwork scrolls, delicate wire accents, and scalloped edges that show wonderful detail from every angle. The body has a raised, dimensional design and the brooch closes with a secure rollover clasp.
This piece tested positive for sterling silver, and the gold plating shows light, natural wear in some areas consistent with age. It has a lovely vintage patina and displays beautifully. A charming accent for jackets, scarves, hats, or to add to a jewelry collection.
It measures approximately 1 3/8" long and 1 3/4" wide. It weighs 6.3 grams.
