Vintage Red Wing Pottery USA Jolly Jar With Lid, Sierra Line AS IS (Chipped)

Vintage mid-century modern medium "Jolly Jar" made by the Red Wing company in the 1960's. This "Sierra" line canister features hand painted dancing figures reminiscent of cave paintings, in beautiful deep yellow (mustard) tones and light brown (camel) tones on a speckled cream-colored base. The rim and base of each jar and lid are a dark chocolate brown. These jars are hand painted as evidenced by the occasional visible brush stroke and variations in tone.

This is the medium sized canister from the set. The base is marked Red Wing USA 724-M. The lid is sized proportionately and sits flush on the jar. It is marked 726.

This item is being sold AS IS. Both the lid and the rim of the jar have a chip. The chip on the lid is fairly small and mostly hidden when sitting on the jar. The chip on the jar is larger. Photographs are included of this damage. Please look at ALL the photos
