This vintage brooch cira 1980-1990's era is in excellent pre-owned condition. Designed and signed by Micky Ravitz, an artist known for using natural materials. This particular piece is shaped like a fish and is crafted This vintage brooch cira 1980-1990's era is in excellent pre-owned condition. Designed and signed by Micky Ravitz, an artist known for using natural materials. This particular piece is shaped like a fish and is crafted from textured clay accented with fish scales and coated with a fine glittery finish. The eye is made from an antique gold painted fishing weight. The back has a rollover clasp with a leather backing signed by the artist. 3 1/4” L x2 1/4” W

NOTE: Micki Ravitz studied art at Washington University and started her career as a teaching art. Ravitz founded her studio in 1972, where she continues to create her signature pieces out of clay, minerals, and antique beading. Her pieces are original one of a kind rare and sought after.
