This mid-century camel coat is 100 percent cashmere with a classic three-button front, notch lapels, flap pockets, and button tab cuffs. It has the original “100% Pure Cashmere – Loomed and Tailored in the New England Manner” label and an Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America union tag.
Recently professionally cleaned. Outer cashmere shell feels soft and luxe with a timeless look. Faint stain on the right sleeve and a few thin/worn spots from age, but overall the outside presents nicely.
The inside is where things get real: satin lining is heavily worn and torn, with multiple rips, “shattered” areas, and visible hand mending at seams, underarms, and hem. Pocket flap linings are very worn; interior pocket bags themselves appear solid. Neckline and hanging loop area are stable.
Wearable as is if you are not fussy about the lining. Perfect for repair/repurpose project!
