Ca. 1840-70: Large sterling artisan handcrafted Victorian era hair comb, hand etched on both sides with three long sturdy teeth to remain secure in all hair types and used not only to pin a bun in place from the top, but also used to pin at the back of the bun to hold the hair up and get some 'big' hair height before the age of hairspray and products. This is a large, sturdy hairpin made to be worn. Highly collectible, incredible condition, perfectly usable and wearable every day if you wish.
