Authentic William F. Degan Memorial Badge, issued to honor all Deputy U.S. Marshals who gave their lives in the line of duty. This badge was created after the 1992 Ruby Ridge incident, where Deputy Marshal and SOG member William F. Degan was killed in action.
Manufactured by V.H. Blackinton & Co. in a limited run of 5,000, each individually numbered. This is Badge No. 42, an exceptionally low number that adds significant collector value. Badge comes in its original blue velvet case with memorial inscription and includes the original certificate of authenticity.
This piece carries provenance from the collection of a U.S. Marshals Service Special Operations Group (SOG) Task Force Commander, a veteran of major operations including Ruby Ridge, Operation Just Cause, and the 9/11 response. His role as a leader in the Marshals’ elite tactical unit gives this badge unique historic weight.
