The Sigma 20-200mm F3.5-6.3 DG | Contemporary is a 10x zoom lens that achieves a wide angle of 20mm, which is much wider than typical high-power zoom lenses. You can shoot expansive landscapes and large buildings in their entirety, as well as impressive close-ups, 
without changing lenses. Even when traveling with limited luggage, this single lens allows for a wide variety of shots.

Maximum magnification ratio of 1:2

 The Sigma 20-200mm F3.5-6.3 DG | Contemporary achieves a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2 at a focal length of 28mm to 85mm. At 28mm, you can capture a broad background to emphasize depth, while at 85mm, you can arrange the background and blur it extensively for a clean look. This lens also offers versatile expression capabilities for close-up photography.

It also achieves a magnification ratio of 1:3.3 at the telephoto end of 200mm, enabling high magnification shooting across a wide range of focal lengths. 

Optical and mechanical design that combines compact size and high performance

The Sigma 20-200mm F3.5-6.3 DG | Contemporary is a full-frame compatible high-power zoom lens with an unprecedented ultra-wide 20mm start, yet it is shorter and lighter than the Sigma 16-300mm F3.5–6.7 DC OS | Contemporary, a high-power zoom lens for APS-C cameras. By incorporating high-refractive-index glass, the lens reduces the amount of 
movement required during zooming, achieving a compact and lightweight design. The optical design, which properly positions four aspherical lenses, one FLD glass element, and three SLD glass elements, combined with an internal mechanism that precisely maintains each zoom group, enables high performance across the entire zoom range despite the high zoom ratio.

High-speed AF with HLA

The HLA (High-response Linear Actuator)  with high thrust drives a lightweight focus lens group, enabling extremely fast autofocus. You can capture every moment without missing a shot.

Dust- and splash-resistant structure

A dust- and splash-resistant structure with sealing around the mount joint and other parts prevents dust and water from entering the lens barrel during outdoor shooting. In addition, a water- and oil-repellent coating on the front element of the lens makes 
maintenance easy when water droplets or dust adhere to the lens. Even outdoors, you can shoot with confidence.

Zoom lock switch

The lens is equipped with a zoom lock switch to prevent accidental extension due to its own weight while being carried. The lock is released by operating the zoom ring, allowing you to respond immediately to photo opportunities.
