The Ricoh 500 is a vintage 35mm camera featuring a Riken Ricoh 1:2.8 4.5cm SEIKOSHA - SLV lens. This rare camera model from Ricoh is designed for film photography enthusiasts.
This Ricoh 500 has a unique layout: the film advance is a bottom-right wheel (marked “C”), not a top lever. The bottom-left wheel with a fold-out arm is for rewinding film. The shutter release is top-mounted. I tested all functions: the focus ring turns smoothly with no stiffness, and the advance wheel rotates with healthy resistance. However, the shutter does not fire—pressing the button results in a slow press and return, with no audible click. The shutter appears jammed or non-functional. Sold as-is for parts, repair, or display.
