The super deluxe edition of 1999 includes 5 CDs and 1 DVD. I purchased this brand new and NEVER PLAYED THE DISCS. It is still in the ORIGINAL SHRINK-WRAP with the HYPE STICKER ATTACHED. It is opened, but new. All of the discs are housed in nice thick digipak sleeves with the track listings on the back . This also comes with a really nice booklet with photos and commentaries. The contents all fit inside a nice, shiny, sturdy box, as seen in the photos.
Purple Rain contains 3 CDs, 1 DVD, and a nice booklet, all housed inside a 4 panel gatefold digipak. I purchased this new and listened to the discs once or twice. Some of the discs have paper scuff marks from being in these tight cardboard slots. Unfortunately, this is typical due to this style of packaging. The booklet looks great. The digipak case has a few small creases on the inside of the second panel. It was like this when I bought it. Overall, this set is in EXCELLENT condition.
