Due to different systems from VHS/VHS-C to Video8, there is no suitable cassette adapter for this purpose. The VHS-C adapter cartridges offered are only suitable for adapting VHS-C/S-VHS-C cassettes to VHS (full format) recorders, but not for Video8 or MiniDV tapes. The tapes of these systems have different sizes and the heads of a VHS device are unable to read them. This technical difference makes it impossible to adapt the systems together
