This listing is for a lovely and super fun posable wood and sisal rope monkey figurine. Copyrighted in 1958, supposedly these monkeys were distributed in the zoos of that era. Unbelievable, right? Hence, they were named "Zoo line". Per research, these monkeys were designed by Kay Bojesen. The monkey is nicely crafted. The opposing limbs are connected (the sisal rope has a metal wire running through), thus, when moving one limb, the other follows, unless the wire gets bent.
The monkey itself (from the bottom of the body to the top of the head) measures about 3 1/2" in height. With the limbs fully extended it probably could reach at least 9" in height. Marked "copyright 1958 Zoo-line". The monkey is in good, but not pristine condition. There is some surface aging and a slightly lighter spot on the back side where a label must have been affixed at some point.
