"The Temple Blessing Dawn Dress is our most precious piece of artwork yet, created in collaboration with Adiv, a team of self-taught urban artisans who utilize the floral offerings collected from the Ganesh temple in Mumbai, Siddhivinayak. Hindu custom dictates that these offerings be returned to water, and using these flowers for dyeing satisfies this ritual requirement as dyeing is a water-based process. Roses, Coconut husks, hibiscus flowers and the marigolds, blessed, then normally cast off as waste, are full of dye potential and yield the most beautiful prints and colors."
