Daryl L. Cameron, the Chicago based singer-musician better known as Captain Sky, began recording around 1978 with a group of Chicago musicians and released the Adventures of Captain Sky in that year followed quickly by Pop Goes the Captain in 1979. Captain Sky's funk-based musical style, futuristic costumes, and psychedelic imagery immediately caught on with the record buying public who drew immediate comparisons to Parliament Funkadelic. Over the years groups such as de la Soul and Public Enemy have sampled Captain Sky's music and the singles have become collector's items among DJs and fans of rare funk. Presented here is the rare 1982 Philly World EP "Don't Touch That Dial," highly sought after by collectors and finally available in the digital domain. Newly remastered.
