A RARE Cherub and Goddess Art Nouveau ceramic, German, c1900
Widely stated to have been made by DEP. It appears to have DEP Imprinted in the mold on the white side.
Underglazed, Matte Bisque Porcelain or Ceramic with traces of gold luster details, this unique and beautiful piece depicts a cherub chauffeur driving the Goddess of Victory in what appears to be an early French Panhard.
This piece is so imaginative and whimsical...One of the most unique aspects is the amazing coloring! The car is pink and white with gold accents. The woman or goddess wears a beautiful long, pale yellow gown that looks as though the wind is blowing through it.
